Smudge is being spayed today. I need some advice on taking care of her. Right now I am going to move her into the bathroom to keep her from moving around alot. We also have a dog and they do like to play! Any other suggestions or comments? They are sending home pain meds and if it is a pill, is there a "treat" to wrap it in so she will eat it?

There are Greenies Pill Pockets, which I've seen in stores and at vet's offices, where it's a treat with a hollow space inside to hide a pill. I've never tried one, and I think I remember seeing mixed reviews from people here. I've had luck with grinding up pills and adding them to Murphy's wet food.

Good luck with the recovery process. She'll be her old self in no time!

After my kittens got s/n, they did not lick at the incisions (actually, other than seeming a little sleepy that evening, they did not seem to realize anything happened). I did confine them to the bathroom to minimize jumping around, but otherwise they healed up just fine. Hope Smudge heals quickly!
