I have been seeing robins for about a week now, and look what I found popping up in my front beds today!

OH, MY GOODNESS! I'll keep the porch light on all night, and hope that spring finds her way here! :D Are you in the panhandle? If so, we are at about the same latitude. My mother always watched for the snowdrops! I'm not satisfied until the willow trees begin to show signs of green!

It's amazing that the birds and flowers survive winter, isn't it?

We are right near the Ohio River and a little south of you. We had some warm days and the bed is right in the sun, so I am sure that helped to warm the ground and stimulate the growing process.

I love to see how the earth renews itself each year.

You guys in the northern hemisphere seem to have had a rough winter , those of us in the southern hemisphere have had an appalling summer that I cant wait to see the back of.

The heat/humidity and rain has almost driven me insane .... our winters are mild and lovely .... so roll on winter.
