Blue has stinky paws :p

I gave her a bath the other day...but her paws still smell. Should i wash her paws again with a stronger shampoo?

Her nails are really short from being outside for a long time. her paw pads are chapped as well. could that be the reason why they smell?

should i be worried that her nails are soooo short? why did that happen?

when simba came back...his paws and nails were in good shape.

thanks

That doesn't sound good, they could be infected.

Have you gone to the vet yet since her return? It sounds a bit like an infection to me. But then again could be a fungus. Either way, its no bueno.

Cocker spaniels get something that is affectionately called Frito feet due to the smell. It signals a yeast infection and needs a trip to the vet for some meds. Not sure if that is what you are dealing with, but I would take Blue to the vet for a checkup.

I dont see any other signs of infection...like reddness or swelling...they just smell. shes walking/jumping fine . her feet dont seem to bother her. but then again sometimes i would see her lick her paws..

no,she hasnt been to the vet since her return. Stache has an appointment at the end of the month...maybe i'll see if we can take blue in...
