...just an F.Y.I.
I posted a topic in the health forum, and in my subject I had the word scooting within quotes...
When I returned to the forum, the subject had "scootingqe instead of "scooting".
I thought I made a typo, and tried to edit it and put in the quotes again, but again it came up with the extra characters instead of the ending quotes.
I finally just removed the quotes and it reads okay now, but just as a test, I added "scooting" to the subject of this post.
Not a big problem for me, but I'd figure I'd let you folks know.

I'm not sure about phpBB software, but some forum software designates the quotations as a system term in the subject. The result you get on some forums is that follow up replies would truncate everything after the quotation.

The word-a-round, if it's a problem, is to use to apostrophes in place of quotation marks. The reader can barely tell the difference.

I don't know if that's helpful for phpBB or not, though.

Edit: Now that I've posted it, I see that it doesn't matter in phpBB. The phpBB format puts one topic heading at the very top of the page instead of at each message.
