Just got a voicemail from a guy who saw our fliers. He mentioned the bobbed tail and declawed paws and said the cat's name is Calvin.

I'm going to call them over lunch. Sad to see him go- he's such a sweetheart. But, if it were me on the other end...

Ok. Jesse's real name is Calvin and he has a very nice family who missed him a lot.

They live two blocks directly behind us. She said she thinks her mother let him out when she was visiting a few weeks ago. Sad to see him go, but at least we know he has a nice family who loves him.

And, you know, if nothing else, having another cat around for awhile was a good trial run/learning experience with Stephen.

Yes, even though you became somewhat attached to him (it doesn't take long does it) at least you know he has a good home. It's also a good thing that you found him before he got into a situation where he couldn't defend himself without claws.

Well, I'm sorry he is gone but glad he is back with a family that was missing him. You did a great job of caring for him and hunting the owner's. Congrats.

It's really good news to see Jesse/Calvin go home. I'm sure you've already became pretty attached. But if you think about it in a positive light, he has a loving family and it's still one less stray in the streets. If you hadn't taken him in and posted fliers his family may have never found him!

What a wonderful thing you have done! I can imagine how I would feel if Calvin had been my cat, and a kind person returned him. You are heroes!
