Luna is 8 wks old and the other day she was sitting in a basket laying there with her to front paws hanging over the front. But the cutest thing was that she had her tongue sticking out. I wanted to grab my camera and get a pic of it but it was too late. She was so cute. That was the only time I've ever seen her do that. Ever since I've been waiting for her to do it again.

I was wondering why her tongue was sticking out?

My Kittygirl does this, too. I don't know why it happens, but it is so cute and funny!

So true! I always want to grab it, but then my cat would pull it in. It's so cute.

It is so cute when cats do that! When I first started dating my fiance, I called my kitty over (he was sitting in front of us), he turned around with his tongue hanging out! it was hiliaruous as it was the first time he did it. It was like he was saying, "This is what I think of HIM!", he always say inbetween us too.

My cat does it when she smells my shoes! I cracked up when I first saw her do it. And her eyes are usually more closed and she raises her chin up a bit. It's the cutest thing. She has done it smelling other odd things - like once she sniffed the floor and did that. :lol:

I love it when they smell with their mouths open! They have a whole other scent gland on the roof of their mouth so they do it when they smell something funny or when they REALLY want to smell something. Samhain does it all the time.
