I hear alot of people saying my Tom cat this or my snow shoe this...how do you tell what kinda cat you own? lol probably a stupid question. Ours were given to us so Im so sure how to tell.

Well - most cats out there are mixed breeds so it can be hard to tell. But they can offen look can look quite a bit like some breeds... There are some site out there which will tell you the difference, but I don't know them off hand.

What does he/she look like?

car fan? not sure I understand but if you asking if I like cars then very much so. I build cars for a hobby and sell audio/video/ and performance parts as well. One of our cats is all black with a white patch under his chin (his names lucky) and out female cat looking kinda like a tiger. She has black stripes that run down her on both sides and she is like a darker brown in between although she is starting to turn a bit orange in some spots (her name is Lexi). Lucky also has alot of random one or two white hairs speratically placed on him. They are of the same litter.

A tom cat is just any male cat -- it's not a breed. If you don't know what breeds yours are and you have a tabby (meaning she is striped -- see the thread in the "breeding" forum called "what kind of tabby" if you want to see which kind she is) and a black cat with some white markings, the most likely breed is not really a breed at all. They are most likely domestic cats, which are often outcrossed with other breeds so you can't really pinpoint it anymore. But who knows -- can you tell us what their fur is like or post pictures?
