A couple weekends ago I had to rush Sophie into the ER for vomiting. We ran x rays and found her intestines to be quite inflamed and tense to the touch. Blood work showed that a couple liver enzymes are higher then normal and her white blood cell count is lower then we'd like. Since the visit though she has continued to act normal. Annual blood work ran last month showed everything was normal except for her thyroid levels being on the higher end of normal. Friday we go to our regular vet to re check her blood and her mom Mama will be getting hers done as well just in case whatever we are dealing with is possibly linked by genetics. For now we have no answers though on what may be wrong. The ER was telling me possible IBD or liver disease but our vet doesn't want to jump to conclusions in case all of these were just caused by the amount of vomiting she was doing.

We got follow up blood work back yesterday and both cats have normal levels for everything so whatever it was seems to have passed. Only thing that was being put on the watch list for them is their thyroid levels as those are still on the higher end of normal.

Hope it was just a temporary thing. Not sure if you mean hyper or hypo when you say high levels, but there are usually visible symptoms when thyroid levels are off either way, so keep an eye out for them.

Their levels weren't high they were just on the higher end of the normal range so it is just something we want to watch to ensure they don't go above the normal level.
