Hey all, we had been keeping the litter box in the office. One of my boys sometimes pees right outside of it - pretty sure he is picky about the cleanliness which is our fault. But anyways, our first baby is due in 3 months and we’re setting up that room as the nursery. I removed the litter box and all the furniture. We’ve used an enzymatic cleaner on the pee spots consistently but it didn’t completely remove the smell. So I rented a carpet cleaner and used some pet shampoo. Didn’t work, if any thing it made the smell worse! Like brought it out of the carpet! Since then I’ve also tried baking powder (or soda, can’t remember it was whatever I read online) and having it sit for 24+ hours before vacuuming up. I’ve also used oxy-clean. Last but not least I tried a vinegar and water solution. Seriously. Nothing is working and it’s getting stinkier. What the heck?! Any suggestions? I don’t want our baby’s bedroom to smell like cat pee.

PS. I’ve washed walls and baseboards in case the urine stuck there.
