Does anyone know about a food supplement called Anitra's Vita Mineral Mix? Any thoughts? Good, bad, indifferent?

Vita-Mineral Mix

1 1/2 cups yeast powder (any food yeast: brewer's, torula, or nutritional)
1/4 cup kelp powder or 1/4 cup mixed trace mineral powder
1 cup lecithin granules
2 cups wheat bran
2 cups bone meal, calcium lactate, or calcium gluconate

Mix together and store in a covered container. Be sure to refrigerate.

Add 1 teaspoonful of Vita-Mineral Mix to each cat's meal (2 teaspoonfuls per cat per day).

Since veterinarians advise against supplementing commercial diets I'm not sure whether using this mix is a good or a bad idea.
In general she has some supplement suggestions that are not safe and are actually toxic and dangerous for cats, so I personally would not use anything she recommends without talking to my holistic vet first.
Earlier this year I actually did ask my holistic vet about one particular supplement and she advised against using it, especially in the amounts Anitra recommends in the book.

I used this supplement for Sash for a few years and I really like it. I just would add a small amount to his canned food daily. He had a wonderful plush coat and his energy level was good too. I just recently ran out of it, I would definitley recommend it! :D

Thanks for the response. I actually used it too when my cat was suffering from IBD and the only answer I could get was pred. from my vets. I followed her book and Dr Picairn's and read tons online. He was able to get off pred. entirely and never had a recurrence but I'm never sure what made the difference. I was wondering if I should continue with my now two healthy young cats. But it does seem like over-kill. :(
A lot of what Anitra says makes sense to me but, as you said Meowmie, some of the remedies seemed questionable. (Thus my question about garlic a few weeks ago.) I've been giving the V.M.M. occasionally now just cause... I don't know whether to or not to. Sometimes I long for the days when I didn't know anything at all and just fed Scienc Diet! lol Having some info is almost worse. It's all so overwhelming! I feel like I need to go back to school and get a degree in cat nutrition.
