My 14 year old has skin allergies(not sure what from). She gets huge open sores that bleed. The vet said she will probably have to be on a cortisone spray for the rest of her life!

I know Vitamin E is good for skin. Would it hurt to give her Vitamin E capsules?

Thanks

Try home made cat food before life-long use of cortisone. Just recently I helped a lady avoid giving her cat cortisone just by starting making her own cat food. The cat is fine today and the vet doesn't believe the cat will need cortisone, but he still doesn't like the fact that the owner cured the cat herself.

About the vitamin E... I don't know if it helps with allergies but you can try.

What does home made cat food do? We don't believe the allergies is food allergies. We belive it is flea allergies. Even though she is on Revolution & Advantage, the vet said that as much as one little bite can make her break out.

Thanks

A home made diet can improve the cats immune system and all kinds of allergies develop when there's something wrong with the immune system.
