My Nugget is a strange cat (to me), and she'll harrass you forever to get some bread (I know that's pretty common, though). There's other stuff that I can't think of at the moment, other than cheese and watermelon.
What weird foods do your cats like?

If there is a thread of this somewhere else, sorry!

Hi, bread doesn't sound that extreme. My cat likes chocolate.

I've left a small Lindt chocolate Christmas bear unattended for couple of hours, and when I came back he had his face eaten off... He chooses only the best apparently...
Fortunately, except vomiting all what he has eaten nothing else happened.

He also likes eating toilet paper, but I've found in some older threads that's pretty normal.

Let's see..... Book and Neelix will eat about ANYTHING. If I take a bite and toss it on the floor they are like jackals fighting for it. (Ok, not biting or growling. Just scrambling to get it first). I don't think they even taste what it was, they just want it. Neelix likes ot lick flour. I have no idea why it interests him but if I leave a bowl of flour sitting to bake with he gets in there and licks it...and tracks it all over the kitchen.

One thing that's universal for ALL of them even MowMow.... cheesie puffs. I thought they went bonkers for the cheetos kinds, then I bought home the Trader Joe's organic version. It was like the heavens opened up and sang for them I think. When I pop that bag and they get a wiff, all heck breaks loose. Even MowMow joins the other two. Now if I bring home a generic version or even the Cheetos MowMow will taste one then wander off. Even the other two are satisfied after two or three. The Trader Joe's version... that brings all the cats to my yard!

Of course MowMow's too dignified to scramble for treats. While the other two are struggling to reach the one I threw he paws at my hand and gives plaintive meows until I hand him one. By the time the other two are back looking for more he's eaten his and is licking cheesie dust off his whiskers. AND he cleans his whiskers are each one. It cracks me up. A thorough cleaning and then the hand pawing and mewling start again.

Anything. Especially Duke. Last night I had to fight him off a Cheezit one of the kids dropped. He has been know to grab bread, tortillas and waffles off a plate and walk off with them. One cat (I suspect Duke) tried to get into a bag of pistachio nuts, a bag of marshmallows and a bag of cookies (I think they were sugar cookies).

Galileo is my weird foods cat. He loves pineapple, nectarines, peaches, apricots, roasted red peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, kiwi (which he can't have because he's mildly allergic), and tomatoes. It's really strange to watch him practically inhale pieces of pineapple--what kind of cat goes nuts for pineapple?!

Cosette likes dry cereal, rice cakes, and romaine lettuce, which are kind of weird things for a cat to like as well.

We have an old guy at our place who has taken dinner rolls right off the table, although I know that's not strange. But the list of things Beba (my youngest, who is also deaf) had eaten includes: sour cream (I didn't let her have this on purpose obviously, but she ate about three tablespoons before I figured out what she was doing), popcorn, green pepper, nacho chips, half a granola bar, rice krispies, golden grahams, mozza and chedder cheese, and toast. LOL For the longest time my roommate and I couldn't turn away for a second.

Maya is my little piglet. Anytime I go in the kitchen and open the fridge, she thinks it's time to be fed again. I don't normally feed my cats human food, but she was so curious and wide eyed as I steamed my broccoli the other day, I offered a teeny piece after it had cooled off and she actually ate 2 little pieces. I couldn't believe it, but she's not getting any more from me, the last thing I want is my cats to transition from an obligate carnivore into an omnivore! They already eat way better than I do! :p

Lulu loves turkey bacon, but only if cooked and not too crispy, along with scrambled eggs if she can pinch a piece. She also prefers cooked cheese when its gone a bit stringy when cooled and it is preferable to be a certain strength of cheddar - so not fussy at all!
Kiki loves asparagus, cooked or raw, she likes to chew the top parts off but will steal the whole piece and run off. If you haven't spotted her stealing and slipping away, then you find the chewed bit under the dining table.

My picky and strange cats: Sky likes peanut butter, salted peanuts, and tostito chips. Puddle is truly a weird one, he obsessively loves apple cinnamon cheerios (no other variety), unpeeled carrots (especially the ends that have been cut off), and really spicy things. He has been known to steal buffalo wings off plates- he once stole an entire box of buffalo wings when I had pizza delivered. He didn't get very far, but he made an excellent attempt. He will attack hot sauce packets and lick plates clean if the food was spicy. Such a weird guy.

I always think it's so strange when cats eat really spicy things--most cats probably wouldn't even regard something super spicy as edible, no matter how hungry they were. Turns out though that, much like people, cats that grow up eating spicy foods are much more tolerant of the heat; at least, that's what the anecdote that another colony caretaker told me suggests. His colony is located in the auto scrapyard where he works in a part of the city that's known for its large Jamaican population. As you might expect, a number of his co-workers are Jamaican ex-pats who bring incredibly spicy food for lunch--I believe the colony caretaker described it as "inedible" because of how spicy it is (he is not Jamaican). The colony cats who have grown up in the scrapyard, however, are long since used to receiving jerk chicken and pork handouts from the employees, and gobble up the capsaicin covered food as if it were just ordinary, unseasoned meat.

Merlin will eat anything and everything. I found him chewing on steel wool that he got from the sink a month back. Since then, anything that might be considered food, is put away. He will eat pasta, peanuts, bread, cheetos, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, etc.

Stella will eat pretty much anything my dog is eating.
She loves Banana, she will stare me down in the morning when I am having my breakfast!
non-food wise, she loves wires and hair ties!! don't worry, all wires in the house are now cat proofed.

B.B., loves (will kill for) - Crispy Duck from the 'Wing Hing' (only, ...nowhere else)
The Woo has a soft spot for a bit of Pound Cake, a.k.a. Madera Cake
Belle can't resist a nice fuzzy bee. She will do anything to catch one. Flies are alright but apparently not as good as a bee.

Love seeing what things your kitties will eat! Neither of mine will touch human food!! :pig

But, they eat plastic bags, rubber bands, candy wrappers (love that crinkles), tinsel garland, foam toys, and I've have to dig a guitar pick and Lego pieces out of Pazu's gullet! 8O :fust
