I am a lover of cats. I have rescued 30 ferals total, tamed and raised their offspring. Had them all fixed with the help of the great people at our low cost clinic, they did some for free. Enough about me, I'm wanting to feed my adult brood, 10 now, live meat. To breed white lab mice to feed the cats what they are supposed to be eating. To stop putting the carbs and grains and water into the cats and their kidneys. My wife is a little freaked by the implications, but I tell her the dry food is killing the cats slowly and the mice, well they are just mice, food. Is this feasible? I understand cats should get most of their moisture from blood and little actual water. Correct? That the water they have to drink to handle the dry food overtaxes they urinary system and leads to kidney failure?

I'd like to get some breeders from the local pet shop and raise mice to feed my cats. What do you think?

I've attached my cat record family tree.
