Hello,

My cat is reaching to be a senior soon. He'll be seven years old this October. Any suggestions on what premium cat food is good for a senior cat? Thanks!

My vet and I had a similar discussion about Assumpta (age 7) recently, and it was her feeling that Assumpta didn't really need any type of "senior" food at this point. She said that she prefers to make those kind of decisions based on the cat's health and specific needs, instead of going solely by age, and that because Assumpta's health and dentition were good, she'd recommend feeding a sensible diet of a high-quality food, as well as some minor changes in her checkups and vaccination schedules (more general checkups, less vaccinations).

Just my personal experience and opinion, FWIW.

I have a 9 year old cat and I don't feed her senior food. I just feed her adult food.
