I am booking my wedding in cyprus at the moment and I am having a break from hunting for human accommodation to something for the cats. We are not going to be leaving until 24th May 2009 but I want to make sure they are booked into somewhere nice!

I want to keep the girls together and also my parents cat will have to be boarded as well. (if she lives that long she is 15 years old!) We have not used a cattery in years as I generally look after Smudgy when my parents are on holiday! We only boarded my parents once and Smudgy was gleaming white when she got out. I think she got bored so just cleaned herself for two weeks!

So what should I be looking for in a good cattery?

My personal preference is to hire a professional cat sitter to come to the house so the cats can be left in their own comfortable environment, not stressed out and not exposed to diseases from the other animals in the kennel. The price is usually comparable to a kennel. Look for someone who is bonded and insured and has good references.
