Hello!
So I started treating my 6 month old kitty for ear mites/infection. I've been using tresaderm as prescribed by the vet. 2 drops in each ear twice a day. I've been doing it for 4 days so far and I've noticed since I started that shes been getting these white flakes behind her ear. Quite a pain to get out as well. Now I'm guessing it's from dry skin, but what is the cause? It also seems that she seems to be loosing more hair behind her ear when I try to pull out the flakes, I tested this by pulling (gently of course) on other parts of her body and barely got as many hairs as I did behind the ear.
I'm wondering, is this from the medicine? one of the side effects?
I've been trying to find an answer online (google is your friend) but haven't found one.
Any help would be appreciated!
And yes I plan on calling the vet on Monday.
