so i wanted to bring my kitten to my room, so i go to the hallway and there she is. once i approach her, she runs under the couch to go hide. I give up and go back to my room and in about 3 minutes she comes strolling into my room.

is this some sort of feline game?

She is probably just playing with you. ^_^ Cats do weird things like that - just wait for a few months more - you'll see her do all sorts of crazy stuff.

mine scratched the back of my knees last night and I had a rude awakening with kit claws stuck in me. NOT amused

Aye reminds me of my uncle and his cat they played hide, seek and chase both indoors and outdoors. Jeppe the cat was polite and pretended to NOT know where his hooman was hiding to make the game more fun, attack and swat his feet (with no claws) saying "TAG!!" ..and also polite enough to let his slow hooman catch him sometimes.

So "tag along" when your cat wants to play with you it'll be great fun

She either wanted you to play or she just wanted to come to your room when she wanted. Cats have the wonderful personalities to do what they want when they want. Mine do it all the time. I'll pick on up to lay by me. They will run off and two minutes later they are back, jumping on me and snuggling

I'm constantly amazed at the number of different kitty games. Mine come up with new ones all the time. The I'm-going-to-chase-you-then-run-and-hide is a favorite one here!
