i just posted a question but for some reason it's deleted along with my username.

i'm shooting a catfood commercial, and i need a cat to lick the owner's toes in a scene. i wanted to know how i can get a cat lick someone's toe but not bite. this morning we tried milk but he didn't like it. then we tried chocolate but he didn't like that either. than we tried soft food on toe but then he bites the toes and spoils the whole thing.

is there anything the cat will like and lick on "action" but not bite?

this is a cat forum so i'm sure there must be people who'd have a good answer for this.

Did you think of trying the juice/water from a tuna can? I would get tuna packed in "spring water", not oil packed. I don't think a cat would try to bite the toes because they are smart enough to know that's not food, but they might like to lick the tuna juice. It may be different with every cat. My cat would never bite my finger if there was food on it. It's worth a try. Good luck.

PS: Never try to feed a cat or dog chocolate. Can be very dangerous to their health.

Richo's suggestion should work. But I must ask this:WHY would the cat lick the toes in a catfood commercial?
The only time my cats manage to lick my toes is when they rub against my feet & check if they left their scent.

i wanted to have a little humor in the commercial. shortly, it starts off with a guy sitting on a couch laughing, and we see he's watching something and he's still ridiculously laughing, then we see the cat licking his toes and that's what he's laughing at (ticklish). the cat licking and licking. then it says "beat your cat's hunger with xyz catfood" (i can't give out brand name) and hard catfood falling into the cup, and the cat running and eating it. then copy and logo. it's a student project so we'll see how it turns out. i got the idea from my girlfriend's cat when he was licking my feet some morning.

If your girlfriends cat is already into licking toes see if it is possible to use that cat in the comercial............

That's just something some cats do. Oh, and, of the ones that I have known to do it, they have also been known to nip said toe!
