Are you trained?

How trained do your cats have you? Right now I'm prolonging staying awake (keep in mind that it is past 2am, I have a job, my internship, and school tomorrow) because Sinatra is purring so loudly sleeping with his head on my computer. He has been so sick that I just don't want to disturb his happiness! He has me wrapped around his little paw.

Ha! I'm in Dave's boat; I make sure I've got the remote AND cordless phone handy so I won't have to get up.
Malibu has me trained to follow her to bed at bedtime. If she thinks I'm staying up too late, or she wants to go to bed, she caterwauls until I fall-into-line and do as she demands for her snuggle.

Why, whatever do you mean?:p

You mean trained, as in, how many times--per day--do I stay seated because a feline is stretched out on my lap, and/or over my arm, or tucked in somewhere, looking SO darn comfortable and cozy, that it feels as if I'd be doing a great disservice to him/her by moving? To the point that sometimes my leg starts going to sleep?

And how often, in bed, do I avoid moving my feet under the covers, lest they be attacked? Or avoid turning from one side to another, because one or more felines is tucked ever so comfortably in a nook or cranny of my body?

Nope, not me.

I wish Meowmie would stretch out on my lap or cuddle up with me but she's not that comfortable with us yet, I think. She did however cuddle with my boyfriend yesterday and he found it so precious :) He didn't dare move, haha.
I am trained however to pay her attention whenever she meows enough (not enough to spoil her more I hope) and I always end up giving her a treat when she sneaks out of our room to get her back in.

My Lucy has trained me to roll over and assume the cuddle position if she wakes me up at night. She has to be under my right arm and that is the only acceptable position. And I dare not move too much afterwards regardless of my pains for fear of running her off. I feel very lucky she wants to snuggle with me so I have been very easy to train! I didn't require much training to stay put when a cat is curled up in my lap. Seems natural to want to stay there!!

My Little Lucky requires fresh catnip whenever I come in from the garage end of the condo. If I regress in training, he follows me around making his non-meow noises (chirp, squeak, trill, cackle) until I get with the program, tired or not, RAINING or not, and go back outside to get his nip. Doesn't do this to my husband, who definitely not trainable anyway, but just me. Does Little Lucky ever want/try to go out & pick his own? After all, as a former feral he should be able to at least go out & look around. Actually steps back from the door when I come in or go out. Why should he, I guess, he has me trained to go fetch.
