I had to post this because it's so funny that I felt compelled to share it with others. I have a kitten who is almost a year old. She and her mother, my other cat, are not allowed to sleep in my bedroom because they crawl all over me all night. So before I go to bed, I shut them out of my bedroom. At first they really didn't like this, but eventually they got used to the routine.
Now, the kitten has figured out that when she hears my alarm go off it means that I am awake. So as soon as my alarm sounds, she sits outside my door whining until I let her into my room. She runs in, tail wagging, super excited to see me. It's a great way to wake up.
The past month though, it's gotten even better. Suma, my kitten has started to give me a massage in the morning. That's right folks, once I let her in the room, I lay back down for a few minutes. She promptly jumps on my back and kneads my shoulders and neck while purring loudly. Once she's worn herself out she falls asleep next to me, but she will literally do this for 10 minutes if I let her. It's hysterical and my neck and shoulders have never felt better. Well done Suma!
