I have seen the cat sitter dvd advertised. Is it as good as they claim? How long is the video? What does it show? Can you describe your cats reaction to it?

My mom got the girls one for Christmas, see the pictures under Briar and Quinn's Christmas in meet my kitty. Now my cats had never taken notice of what was on the tv before but I now have a total couch potato on my hands! Quinn loves this thing and even sits and whines for it when the tv is off. I've also noticed her checking what's on the tv when it's on now too. Briar is less interested but still seems to enjoy it.

The one I have has gerbils, birds, mice, fish, squirrls and a raccoon. I'm not sure how long it runs, maybe 45 min but you can set it to loop if you are leaving it up while you are at work or something.

I had to laugh when I got home the other day and my boyfriend had set it up for them before he went to bed. I walked in and the babies were watching the tube lol!

I got one as a gift and the first time I put it in both cats were mesmerized for the entire show. But only for the first showing.

The next times I pu tit in they could not care less. They just glanced, gave me a look like "I'm not going to fall for that a second time" and ignored it.

I bought one called "Feathers for Felines". Kitty didn't much care for that one, and Thomas was definately not fooled. They move the camera so much that it's distracting.

There was a show on my local cable channel that was 1/2 hour of a birdfeeder. Just the birdfeeder with the birds that came to it. The cats loved it.

This thread prompted me to check out what my library has and I'm now on the waiting list for a Bird Watching video, up close, no binoculars required according to the back of the tape. :D

We'll see what the cats think of that!
