Hello my name is Olivia :) I came to this wonderful site because I had some concerns about some newly developed health issues for one of my cats. I've always been a huge animal lover. Currently I have 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 horse, and I'm a fanatical fish keeper. I have 8 goldfish (different breeds) in a 600 gallon pond and I have several different species of tropical fish in multiple aquariums in my home. I also moderate the clinic, emergency care, and breeding sections for the aquapuppies goldfish forum.

At the moment I live in Fallon Nevada, USA (which I desperately hate living here) I call south east Virginia my home. Back home I used to volunteer For my local SPCA and I trapped feral cats for a Neuter/Spay & release program. I really enjoyed being a part of that because young kittens that we caught were rehabbed and found good homes.

I'm also married to a cat lover. He doesn't know much about pets or pet care in general but he just knows he loves cats lol. My 3yr old daughter loves any furry moving object. She especially loves to hug it  Anyway that's me in a nut shell! Nice to meet you all!

Welcome!

I saw pictures of your angels earlier, but now most of them are gone. :(

Gorgeous kitties and an adorable little girl! :D

Welcome Olivia! The pictures you posted in the other thread seem to have come back now. Very cute kitties and such a pretty little girl!
What has taken you away from Virginia? When I was younger I had to live a year and a half that lasted forever in western Illinois because of my ex-husbands job. The job ended and I got to come back to my beloved northeast Ohio. :D Hope you get to go back home some day also.

My husband is military. Living here wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to drive over 100 miles to do anything of interest or I didn't consider a good day to be one where the cent of cow crap doesn't over power the can of air freshener I try to use to chase it away. Sadly my husband knows that if we don't at least go back to ANYWHERE on the east coast with his next duty station then he's going to have to continue his military career on his own. I can deal with being away from home if I have distractions but there's nothing in fallon, near fallon, or even with in a reasonable driving distance. I've been here 1 year already and I have 2 left to go and it truly is a prison sentence.

As a former military brat, I feel your pain. By the time I was 10, we had moved 14 times. I don't know how my Mom did that with 6 kids! 8O

Military wives have some good supports groups, but I've also seen first hand how some of the wives can be. Very cliquish and judgmental. And when you're young, it's so hard. :patback

But we can help! :D
