Introducing Moses and Tuxedo kitty (has not been named yet..)

We adopted them from the city shelter yesterday. Moses is 2 and Tuxedo is about 5 years old. Tux was a feral that they contained for a couple of months. He's so affectionate, just a little skittish and beat up from his wilder days. He is currently staying in the garage because he's spraying. He'll be neutered Tuesday...wish him luck. Charlie is delighted to have new friends and is finally learning how to play like a cat...instead of a dog.

He was pretty relaxed when the pic was taken.

Zeus has been renamed Moses. Hubby has really taken a liking to him and came up with the name. I thought that was wonderful since he's not into cats much. Yet, we spent yesterday building a cat condo together. :) So, Moses it is!

They are adjusting very well to eachother. Moby (that's what we're calling tux kitty for now) is still very timid. He hid under my bed all day yesterday and can only be coaxed out by me. He didn't eat or drink anything and only used his litter box one time (I carried him to it). He seems a bit put off by the dogs...not scared, just a rather not mess with them attitude if that makes sense. He's a very lovable fella, but it's very evident that he is terrified of men/boys. He'll come around, he's just requiring more effort than Moses. Moses is already roaming into other rooms now and walks right beside the dogs with caution, but unafraid.

A fighter, eh? His face looks like he was in a pretty bad one.
Yes, he was feral when the shelter contained him with a humane trap and brought him in. After he was observed and socialized they put him up for adoption. Oddly, his personality seems to be alot like 2 of my ferals that I tamed many years ago. So sweet yet cautious.
