New 'Ameriquest' Commercial: Poor Kitty! :)

Have you all see this?! :lol:

It starts out with a scene of a guy coming home with groceries and he has to shoo his cat off of the kitchen counter.

Then, the guy is hurrying to make some marinara sauce in a pot, then he arranges some flowers on the dinner table...(getting ready to impress someone with a fancy dinner, right?!)

It cuts to the cat climing on the counter near the pot of red sauce and the guy getting ready to chop something with a large knife. So, he has the knife in one hand and tries to get the cat off of the counter with the other.

A woman comes to the door and starts to let herself in.

The man grabs the scruff of the cat, picks it up, knocks the pot of red sauce over...

And when the woman walks into the apartment, she sees the guy: holding a butcher knife in one hand, a cat by the scruff in the other, and red stuff all over the floor benieth him! 8O

At first, all I could think was: "you aren't supposed to pick up a grown cat like that!" The more I see the commercial, though, the more humour I see in the situation. :lol:

I think it depends on how hard he's holding the scruff and how long he had to hold the cat there (at one time) during the shoot.

I couldn't imagine the cat was hurt....

I couldn't help but laugh even though I felt bad!!!!

The first time I saw that commercial I was kind of sad. Now I see it and laugh because I know how silly it is. They did a good job of making it look just right. I mean the cat looked bloody and the guy was holding the knife. It was a pretty smart commercial if you ask me.

Well, this was MY experience with that commercial!
I walked into my living room this morning, the television was on, and all I saw on the TV was a guy standing there with a cat in one hand, butcher knife in the other, and what appeared to be blood all over the floor!
I was so freaked out, but then figured there was more to it than I saw, especially at the end when it said something about making situations clear, or something like that....
So, now I know thanks to your post!
To funny, cause I just saw it this morning.

I saw it for the first time during the Super Bowl and thought it was pretty funny. I don't think you are supposed to pick up a grown cat by the scruff, but I don't believe the kitty was harmed. All in all, it's a clever commercial.

I saw it on the net, and found it funny ... it reminded me of the kind of thing I would walk into at my house, seeing as my cats + my OH are both disaster areas!!!! :lol:
