hi , I have a 4 month Kitten that pretty quickly comes to sit in between me and the computer screen when i start working at the computer.

do you know if he does that because the screen is a little bit hot or if it is more because it wants to be the center of attention like a sort of narcissistic behavior to have love and importance?

Anyways how to adress that apart from taking it off manually.

i had an idea, maybe you can tell me if it is good.
how about if i place a heated pad(wired) on the side of the screen and activate the power only when i sit at the computer?maybe he would prefere to sit on a hot place instead of infront of a screen even if it is not in my direct view?

thanks

Basically your kitten wants your attention..and wants to be near you .
In his world you are the centre of it.. and he feels that you should be paying attention to him and not the bright thing in front of you( the screen)
Not only kittens do this, so do adult cats.. it is their way of saying.. "i'm here, give me attention"

A warm spot to sit probably would appeal to an older cat, but maybe not a kitten. Do you think you could get her to sit in your lap instead of right in front of the screen? If you move her to your lap often enough, she might get the message. And give her a lot of your undivided attention when you're not using the computer. If you're using a desktop computer, could you put the monitor up on top of something so you can see it above her?
