Over the past few weeks Pumpkin had an unknown illness. It started out with vomiting and severe constipation. The second time around severe dehydration and a 105+ temp followed with vomiting. She stayed 3 days and 2 nights at the vet, wouldn't eat, didn't use the bathroom, and just hid in the back of her cage. So finally she used the litter(her temp was still up to almost 105), and the vet said to take her home. Maybe she would then eat, so we took some antibiotics and aspirin(liquid form) home with us. As soon as we got her home she felt better. She wanted lots of attention, started eating, and then slept for much of the night. It was almost overnight her temp dropped down to a normal level around 100-101. The next day she did give us a scare when she vomited, but I think the food we were feeding her didn't sit right with her, cause we've started doing some wet food now and she has not done it since(we're not feeding them that food anymore). She is now back to acting like her old self with none of the symptoms she had before. We are still checking her temp every so often, and so far it's still at normal levels. We're both so glad everything has gotten better. It's just weird, whatever it was struck almost overnight, and then went away about as quick at the end. We did find out we had been feeding them the bad food that was being recalled. We immediately took it back and none of the cats are showing any symptoms from that. Maybe now we can rest easy
