Ok I know Izzy is a talker but the last two days has been so annoying!! She has been going around the house and meowing non stop, I mean nothing makes her stop!!! Ive tried food, attention toys, opening doors. She just wont stop and Im about to go insane and just lock her in her bedroom. Please tell me why she is doing this she is driving everyone insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've tried everything though!!!!!!!! I dont want to give her tons of food since she is already over wieght so when I give her food to be quite I only give her a scoop, but scoops add up!!! She has been going through 9 oz of food a day now when usually she only gets 6oz (1 can a day)

Nito eats 6 oz. of canned food a day, and frequently asks for more throughout the day. I took his treat container and replaced it with his healthier kibble, and I'll give him a couple of those when he's insatiable. That way, if I go over the recommended treat amount it's not a big deal, since the food is better for him anyways. You could try giving your kitty some kibble, piece by piece. That way she gets a few kibbles instead of a whole scoop?

If she's really food driven, teach her a trick! Training distracts Nito from hungriness, and challenges his mind and thus occupies him (ends his begging too). An easy one is to hold the treat a foot in front of them, say slowly and clearly "wave." while holding treat just out of reach, and when they swipe at it say "good!" and give them treat. Most kitties catch on as easily as training a dog to sit. All 4 of my cats will sit there and wave at me whenever they want attention. It's so cute!

Get a can of condensed air (the kind you use to clean computers, any office supply store should sell them). NEVER POINT THE BUSINESS END AT THE CAT IF THE CAT IS NEAR YOU (the air comes out *very* cold and could hurt kitteh).

Keep the can of air near you, every time she starts up, let lose with a PSSSST of air. This has helped us keep Tom off the top of the kitchen cabinets. If he does get up there, we just reach for the can and he jumps down.

It is important to isolate the annoying meows, and not PSST her on her less offensive meows. I mean, meows mean something, and you dont want her to stop talking altogether.

What would you recommend then? Because if this doesnt stop then she will have to be locked in her room, because this is grating on everyones nerves.
And nothing has changed at home? arguing? Tiger gets very vocal when we argue!
Play with her, perhaps she needs to exercise, if she is tired she will be less likely to meow.
Maybe she isn't feeling well?

nothings changed. Usually the house is quite when she starts. She acts like she feels fine and runs around all day long.
does she have toys? perhaps you can dedicate some play time with her, perhaps she feels lonely, are you gone during the day? I am and from time to time Tiger will get very vocal when I get home.. it is his way of welcoming mommy!

I dont know, maybe Today she hasnt been meowing all the time and I've been home all day.
My Tiger is my shadow so he has always been demanding but perhaps Izzy is now changing her behavior, she was OK with it before and now she is not you know?
I am glad it was better today.
You can try giving her a good love session when you get home from work, rather than her
"begging" for it, you know pick her up and love her up good, that will send her a message!!

She has been doing things that she usually doesnt do so I think your right about her just growing up and changing her attitude. Ive been giving her loves when she is quite and I try to ignore her when she starts throwing a "meow fit"
yeah if she throws a meow fit don't encourage the behavior by loving her up, i think is a good idea to love her up very good so she doesn't even start :)
I am sure you will have no problem doing that, Izzy is a gorgeous kitty!!
Do you have any new pictures of her??
