Nito eats 6 oz. of canned food a day, and frequently asks for more throughout the day. I took his treat container and replaced it with his healthier kibble, and I'll give him a couple of those when he's insatiable. That way, if I go over the recommended treat amount it's not a big deal, since the food is better for him anyways. You could try giving your kitty some kibble, piece by piece. That way she gets a few kibbles instead of a whole scoop?
If she's really food driven, teach her a trick! Training distracts Nito from hungriness, and challenges his mind and thus occupies him (ends his begging too). An easy one is to hold the treat a foot in front of them, say slowly and clearly "wave." while holding treat just out of reach, and when they swipe at it say "good!" and give them treat. Most kitties catch on as easily as training a dog to sit. All 4 of my cats will sit there and wave at me whenever they want attention. It's so cute!
